Personality: Rodolphus is a very driven man who is fiercely loyal to the Dark Lord. He is very good in his role of Death Eater, always getting the job done, no matter what the cost. He is an exacting man who expects a lot from the people around him, especially his brother. This can be quite intimidating for some, but Rodolphus has the same high expectations of himself too. He is loyal to a fault. Even in failure, in his darkest hours in Azkaban, he comforted himself with the knowledge that he remained loyal to the Dark Lord rather than lying, pretending or hiding behind more powerful men.

His greatest weakness is his obsession with his wife. He loves her, probably too much, though he certainly doesn’t act at all lovey-dovey with her. He does tend to treat her like an object. She belongs to him and he won't let her forget it. Rodolphus is aware of his wife’s ‘forgetfulness’ at times with regard to her wedding vows and when he can, he makes certain that the men who dare to flirt back never do it again.

Family is important to Rodolphus and he is quite protective of his younger brother though he would never let Rabastan know that. His relationship with his brother has always been tumultuous. He would like to have a son one day, to continue the pureblood lines and to pass on his knowledge. Though he doubts his wife is particularly maternal, he feels this is important and they can get a nanny to look after the child once he is born.

Rodolphus managed to retain a bit more of his sanity than his wife did while they were in Azkaban, but he lost all sense of moderation. Perhaps being in Azkaban simply helped Rodolphus to get his priorities in order. After all, once you’ve been in hell, it’s difficult to fear anything or anyone else. Now Rodolphus takes risks that he wouldn’t have taken before he was in Azkaban, and nine times out of ten, those risks pay off.

Capricorn is the tenth sign of the zodiac and governs the bones, joints, and knees. Positive traits include pragmatism, maturity, patience, determination, awareness, a strong work ethic, realism, discipline, money management, the willingness to overcome hard luck, leadership, initiative, opportunism, prudence, and cunning. Negative traits include pessimism, melancholy, emotional coldness, manipulation, obsession with work and ambitions to the detriment of personal development, remoteness, and materialistic snobbery.

Slytherin

The traits emphasized here will be ambition, determination, discipline, and pragmatism. You can't make that castle in the sky if you don't build a solid foundation under it, and Capricorns excel at building foundations. (Actually, they excel at planning the foundations and directing others to do the grunt labour. It's not that they're afraid to get their hands dirty, but large work usually requires delegation and a staff, and Capricorns are managers more often than not.) While not flamboyant or showy about it, Capricorns still tend to be obsessive overachievers, a common trait in House Slytherin.
